LONDON WEEKEND PICK: Fabric 13th Birthday
When I’m looking for a London event pick of the forthcoming Saturday, I like to make sure I’ve covered all bases. When I know it’s the weekend of Fabric’s Birthday, I tend not to bother. For what is once again pretty much an indoor festival stretching from Saturday night to Monday morning, the Farringdon-based club flex their booking muscle and lay on an international line up of no less than 23 acts. A cast of American heavyweights including Levon Vincent, Fred P, DJ Sneak, Marcellus Pittman, Ryan Elliot and Omar S (live) immediately stand out, while those of the tougher persuasion may view the prospects of sets from British techno figureheads Sandwell District and Sigha as a bigger pull. In addition, Bicep, Ben UFO, Space Dimension Controller (live) and Joris Voorn are among the names who’ll be joining residents Craig Richards and Terry Francis.
