Despite delivering a largely negative verdict on Ulrich Schnauss's 4th artist album back in December, I've always had time for the tinkering German. Marking an immediate return to form, his recent collaborative EP with James ‘ASC’ Clements (reviewed here on Resident Advisor by yours truly) proved his creative breadth stretches beyond the shoegaze electronica he’s best known for. In order to promote the aforementioned releases, Schnauss has laid down a deep drum & bass mix for XLR8R's podcast series that showcases his longstanding admiration for the more cerebral roots of the commonly overlooked genre.
